Staff Software Engineer - Data Integration

About the Opportunity:The Staff Software Engineer - Data Integration is responsible for developing and maintaining connectors and parsers that enable the product to analyze legacy and modern data platforms. This role is key to ensuring accurate data lineage and dependency mapping, supporting the organization''s commitment to delivering precise metadata analysis. The position contributes by integrating AI-driven tools to enhance development speed, quality, and problem-solving.3. Responsibilities:Build connectors for legacy ETL platforms, databases, and cloud data systems.Parse XML, SQL, repository exports, scripts, and vendor-specific data formats.Transform extracted metadata into accurate lineage and dependency models.Create automated tests and datasets to verify connector accuracy.Collaborate to improve the connector framework and document reusable patterns.Employ AI tools throughout development for reverse engineering, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.4. Requirements:Experience in data engineering, metadata management, or systems integration.Hands-on work with ETL platforms, SQL parsing, data lineage, or transformation logic.Ability to reverse engineer unfamiliar or poorly documented systems.Proficiency in TypeScript and automated testing.Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools consistently into the software development process.Focus on rapid shipping, thorough testing, and proactive error correction.Nice to have:Experience with platforms like Informatica PowerCenter, DataStage, Talend, or SSIS.Knowledge of graph models, OpenMetadata, OpenLineage, compilers, or parsers.Experience with software delivery in regulated or security-reviewed environments.5.
