Retirement Services Department Proposal AnalystIs responsible for producing timely and accurate proposals, and installation of qualified retirement plans while supporting the sales function of the Retirement Services Department. Also responsible for providing client service through the sales and installation process.ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:Analyzes the appropriate plan design and product under the direct supervision of the sales consultant. Prepares qualified retirement plan proposals with assistance from sales associates.Provides technical support to sales consultant during the sales and installation process.Operates document and valuation software programs (Datair and Corbel). Ensures plans are in compliance with all federal and state legislations during the design and installation phases.Keeps all plan documents in compliance. Maintains current IRS model amendments.Successfully installs retirement plans within the required timeframe.Develops and monitors the installation process, manages agreed upon deliverable dates and time tables, and coordinates internal and external resources during the installation process.Monitors the internal and external investment setup to ensure record-keeping requirements are met.Assists sales consultant with regard to plan establishment and overall objectives with all parties, producers, Trustees, CPAs and attorneys on installation and technical issues.Prepares all documentation related to plans and contracts including plan level, participant level and product level requirements.Coordinates with administration during installation process to ensure smooth transition from proposal to installation to ongoing administration services.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in business or related field, or commensurate work experience. - RequiredASPPA, NIPA or paralegal coursework desired. - PreferredProven experience handling and effectively resolving customer problems. Must provide examples of strong customer service skills. - RequiredDemonstrated experience working effectively with a team. - RequiredPreferred knowledge of the life insurance/annuity industry. - PreferredDemonstrated knowledge of accounting, business law or pensions by specific coursework or prior work history. - PreferredDemonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interpret and communicate business needs between internal and external client groups and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner. This would include strong telephone communication and etiquette skills. - RequiredProven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems, and providing effective resolutions. - RequiredCites examples of good decision-making skills when dealing with multiple alternatives. - RequiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. - RequiredPension designation within two-three years is preferred. - PreferredSuccessful completion of ASPPA RF Modules within 1 Year - RequiredWork Setting/Position Demands:Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsPerforms substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.Travel Requirements:None
