Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMust be 21 years of ageMust be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basisGood people skillsMust have ability to follow directions, both written and verbalAbility to meet quotas set by supervisorValid New Mexico driver's license with clean MVRMust be able to pass a criminal background checkEmployment contingent upon successful completion of a background checkResponsibilities:Prepare donations (sorting/pricing) to be sent to the store floor, repair area or disposalAccept donations from the general public and distribute to the appropriate area, writing receipts as neededAssist in the store with displaying itemsDrive the truck as assigned, once the safety training has been completedTrain and monitor beneficiaries in their work therapy assignment in the warehouseEnsure an attitude of "dignity and respect" as relates to the interpersonal relationships of all employees and/or beneficiariesAct as personal representative of The Salvation Army and treat all customer/donors courteously, answering questions as they ariseMeet or exceed production quotas as determined by supervisorKeep immediate work area clean and safeEnsure all accidents involving equipment, personal injury or property damage are reported to supervisorPerform routine maintenance and cleanup on the premisesAssist in unloading of trucks, and distribute to the appropriate areaOther duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor as they relate to the position of Production AssistantPhysical Requirements:Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
