Senior Planner
Senior Planner / Urban Designer | Tampa, FL (4 Days Onsite)A nationally recognized architecture, planning, and urban design firm is seeking a Senior Planner / Urban Designer to join its growing Tampa office. This is an opportunity to work on mixed-use, retail, placemaking, and master planning projects across the country while collaborating with design teams in multiple offices.The ideal candidate will have a passion for urban design, placemaking, and community-focused development, along with experience leading or contributing to master planning efforts for mixed-use environments, town centers, neighborhoods, and destination-driven developments.Responsibilities• Lead and contribute to master planning and site planning efforts across a variety of project scales• Develop innovative, market-responsive planning and urban design solutions• Participate in collaborative design charrettes and planning workshops• Prepare graphics, presentations, and planning documents for clients and stakeholders• Coordinate with architects, planners, landscape architects, and engineers• Support project management, scheduling, and client communication• Contribute to placemaking, mixed-use development, and traditional neighborhood design initiativesQualifications• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field• 8–10+ years of professional experience in planning and urban design• Experience working within a design firm environment• Strong background in master planning, mixed-use developments, retail environments, or placemaking projects• Excellent graphic, presentation, and visual communication skills• Strong freehand sketching abilities preferred• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)• Working knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD• Revit and ArcGIS experience is a plus• Strong communication and collaboration skills• Ability to travel periodically for multi-day design charrettes and project meetingsWhat’s Offered• Salary range: $90,000–$100,000• Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits• Collaborative, design-focused studio environment• Opportunity to work on projects nationwide• Cross-office collaboration with teams across the country• Exposure to a wide variety of planning and urban design project types• Strong mentorship and long-term career growth opportunities• Occasional travel for project kickoffs, charrettes, and client engagementThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping communities, working directly with developers and design teams, and contributing to meaningful placemaking projects at a national level.For consideration, please send your resume and portfolio to nfoglia@greenkeyllc.com.
