Monitor patients at timed intervals, document data as directed, and report observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse. Obtain and record patients vital signs accurately. Respond promptly to all call lights.Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating and other ADLs. Provide basic patient transport. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.Participate in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed.Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned unit. QualificationsJob Requirements:High School diploma or GEDBasic Life Support certification Knowledge of patient assistance and care proceduresPreferred Job RequirementsMinimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
