Procurement Specialist

Onsite, 3-month temporary opportunity for a Procurement Specialist within the dynamic healthcare industry! As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various procurement tasks, warehouse inventory tasks, identifying and collaborating with suppliers, needs identification and recommendation, asset tracking, preparing summary reports to management, and performing competitive bids and RFPs. The Procurement Specialist will also be working collaboratively with the Facilities Department and Project Managers on procurement needs for new project sites. Responsibilities: Process incoming purchase requisitions.Procure, schedule and coordinate activities for timely furniture and office equipment delivery, installation and punch-list sign off.Obtain quotes and bids in alignment with procurement policies and obtain appropriate approval for purchases in a timely manner.Analyze price proposals and other information to negotiate reasonable prices, including payment and freight terms; and recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective alternatives.Research new suppliers, materials, furniture, and services as needed.Make recommendations for process improvements.Serve as primary point of contact for furniture requests, on site furniture delivery deployment, and office equipment.Maintain an electronic catalog of available furniture and office equipment for redeployment as needed.Maintain asset documentation, conduct asset inventory checks, and dispose fixed asset purchases in alignment with financial protocols.Generate ad-hoc procurement and inventory summary reports based on historical procurement data.Assist in generating inventory replenishment requisitions, reconcile discrepancies, and participate in recurring inventory counts.Process and maintain invoice and purchase order documentation and submit to Accounts Payable.Coordinate and maintain an asset tagging and inventory system.Qualifications:Associate’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant procurement experience.1+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within healthcare.1+ years of experience with Workday ERP.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Asset tracking and inventory management software experience preferred.Experience in planning and coordinating office furniture and equipment on new project sites is preferred.Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or healthcare environment preferred.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT:Suna Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.Applicants, with criminal histories, are considered in a manner that is consistent with local, state, and federal laws.REQUESTING AN ACCOMODATIONSuna Solutions is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for persons with disabilities or religious observances, including reasonable accommodation when needed. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.Pay Range: $29.99-$43.48/hr.
