Security Manager

The Security Manager is primarily responsible for leading security operations under the leadership of the Security Operations Team Leader across all Life.Church locations, including incident management, volunteer safety team development, behavioral and threat assessment initiatives, emergency management planning, physical security assessments, security audits, and contracted security vendor oversight. This role supports the team's direction, initiatives, and ministry efforts to achieve outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.What You'll DoManage Incident Reporting and Management AssessmentEnsure proper follow-up and documentation of incidents that occur at or involve Life.ChurchProvide recommendations and guidance for action steps that may be required by Life.Church, partnering with Security Operations, Legal, Risk, and other Central ministries when necessaryMonitor security camera systems and review footage as needed to support incident investigations, verify reported activity, and document evidenceDevelop, lead, and manage a Behavioral and Threat Assessment program to identify, monitor, and respond to known or emerging threats against Life.Church campuses, staff, and guestsPeriodically review incident report data to identify trends, reduce risk, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence Develop Emergency Management and Safety Training ProgramsLead the development, continuous improvement, and management of Emergency Management Plans and related safety resources in alignment with Security Operations prioritiesCreate and manage information documents, training videos, e-learning resources, and in-person training initiatives that promote campus safety and preparednessEnsure new staff members receive emergency management and safety training and that all staff members periodically receive ongoing training regarding emergency management plans, security operations policies, and related safety resourcesLead Volunteer Safety Team DevelopmentDevelop and manage training resources and instruction for volunteer safety teams to equip volunteers with the skills needed to support a safe church environmentEstablish and maintain consistent standards for volunteer safety team roles, responsibilities, and expectations in alignment with Security Operations priorities in partnership with Central Operations Ministry Team Oversee Physical Security OperationsSupport the vetting and selection of off-duty law enforcement and licensed security agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable state licensing requirements and Life.Church standardsOversee contracted security officer vendors across all campuses and locations and assist with physical security duties when applicable by law and assigned by the Security Operations Central Team LeaderSupport the implementation of security measures for future locations and portable campuses in partnership with the Security Operations Central Team Leader, ensuring consistency with Life.Church expectationsConduct structured campus safety assessments across all locations using field observations and evaluations to identify gaps, drive corrective action, and support campus accountabilitySkills Needed to SucceedAbility to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovationEffective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to changeExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnershipsEffective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projectsStrong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding othersDemonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgementHigh School Diploma or GED5+ years of related experience in security operations, physical security management, threat assessment, volunteer program leadership, or a related field; multi-site or enterprise-level experience strongly preferredExperience with behavioral threat assessment methodologies and managing individuals of concern preferredBenefits We OfferPaid parental leave, including maternity, paternity, and adoption leaveGenerous employer-paid leave for the use of vacation, sick time, and other qualifying reasons.
