We are a fast-paced, technically advanced, customer-focused operation creating high-quality, American-made products, and we’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the Team!Position: Mold Maker Helper - 1st shift (for BMM, South Foundry)Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Read work orders to determine the product to be producedMeasure ingredients and mix molding or casting material to desired consistency according to the formulaMold parts or products using a vibrator, hand press, or casting equipment and taps or tilts mold to ensure uniformityFill molds with mixed material or apply the material to mold to a specified thicknessRemove excess material and level and smooth wet mold mixtureAssemble, insert and adjust wires, tubes, cores, fittings, rods, or patterns into the mold, using hand tools and a depth gaugeBrush or spray the surface of a mold to ensure smoothness and prevent sticking or seepageLoad or stack filled molds curing box or on storage racks or cartsPerform other duties as required.Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent coordination and attention to detail to make a quality product.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance as well as using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.Experience inspecting equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or defects.Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of the mold.Ability to work in HOT/COLD and DIRTY environmentAbility to read and follow detailed work instructions.One year of production and/or manufacturing experience preferred.High school diploma or GED, must be at least 18 years old.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs consistently.Job Type: Full Time.
