Your key responsibilities will include documenting incidents through detailed reports and participating in various activities aimed at preventing accidents and minimizing losses. Your primary position will be at the guard post, where you will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, transportation carriers, and other personnel entering the site. In this capacity, you will verify their identification and purpose for being on the premises. You will also ensure that they have the appropriate credentials and resources needed for their visit.Responsibilities:Monitor and patrol assigned areas including sales floor, stockrooms, warehouses, parking lots, and entry/exit points to detect and deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized accessConduct surveillance using CCTV systems, alarm monitoring equipment, and visual observation to identify suspicious behavior and potential security threatsRespond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations including theft, disturbances, medical emergencies, and safety hazards in accordance with company protocolsPerform checks, receipt verifications, and exit inspections to prevent merchandise theft and ensure compliance with loss prevention policiesDocument all incidents, observations, and security activities through detailed written reports, logs, and incident documentation systemsCollaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and management when incidents require external intervention or escalationConduct internal investigations regarding suspected theft, fraud, or policy violations by employees, vendors, or customersInspect and test security equipment including cameras, alarms, locks, and access control systems to ensure proper functionalityProvide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence that promotes a safe shopping and working environmentQualifications:Associate degree in criminal justice, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Preferred1- 2 years of Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention experience is requiredFirst Aid or ability to obtain within 6 monthsValid Driver's License, PreferredWork Environment:This position is located in an active industrial distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
