Maintenance PositionPosition Title: MaintenanceReports To: Building ManagerFLSA Status: Part Time, Hourly, Non-ExemptSummary: The Maintenance position is responsible for completing maintenance tasks to repair equipment and preserve the quality of the facility by completing various tasks throughout building per schedule or on an as needed basis.Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance checkOverseeing inventory of cleaning supplies and toolsBasic janitorial duties as needed including, but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors, cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking restroomsEmptying trash and recycle binsWashing windows and mirrorsUses common cleaning tools and equipmentPerform routine maintenance and repair on areas such as structure damage, leaking plumbing, or damaged wiring, patching, and paintingHanging items, moving furniture, putting together furniture or equipmentApply preventive maintenance measures for upcoming weather conditions or scheduled maintenanceFixing potential safety hazardsFollowing lead from Building Manager with assigned tasks as needed to support operationsPossess knowledge and understanding of company policy, procedure, and operational requirementsProvide excellent customer serviceOther duties as assignedRequired Skills / Abilities:Has basic maintenance knowledge which includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry, groundskeeping etc.Works well independentlyStrong time managementFollows written and verbal instructions from managerHas excellent communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a mustJudgement and high level of integrityHigh initiative and reliableAbility to work in a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamworkPhysical Demands:Must be able to have long periods being able to stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as neededMust be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move, as neededMust have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speechMust be able to lift upwards of 50 poundsPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:Part -Time, Hourly, Non -ExemptMon Fri 9am to 5pm (Flexible) / Some weekends may be required to address 24/7 facility operationsIndoor work environmentOn site - Flint locationLimited travel may be neededRequired Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredMaintenance or area of maintenance certification, preferredPrior related maintenance experience, preferredOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
