The Electrical Controls Panel Builder is responsible for safely and efficiently building control systems for an industry-leading packaging equipment machine manufacturer. Job functions include, but are not limited to, short and long-term productivity improvement, help with building, troubleshooting, and repair of automated packaging machines and various sensing technologies, including but not limited to PLCs, Motion Controls, Drives, PanelView, Fanuc Robots, advanced sensing, and control solutions. This position will be required to work 8-hour shifts 5 days a week and occasional overtime that will enable the manufacturing facility to operate at the highest performance level while maintaining a safe work environment. This is a permanent position. What You Will Do: Laying out control panels, drilling, tapping, and assembly Laying out electrical enclosures, including making cutouts, and holes. Wiring electrical control panels Wiring machines field IO to the control panel Installing and testing all safety devices on equipment Promote a safe working environment for employees Ensure a safe and clean work environment while building a culture where safety is always the priority Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Two or more years of electrical experience in a manufacturing, industrial, OEM, or military environment Willing and able to work overtime as needed Experience troubleshooting conveyors, and pneumatics systems Experience interpreting electrical schematics and drawings Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment Proficient with electrical troubleshooting using multi-meters required. You’re good at Must be able to work standing up for long periods of time. Must be able to work under a piece of machinery on a mechanic’s creeper or similar device to wire a machine Must have the ability to lift 30lbs Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written plans in English Must be able to read a mechanical blueprint to complete the layout of metal parts Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fine measurement i.e... 32nds and 64ths of an inch.
