Learn more at www.imaginuity.com.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Senior Accountant assists the accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial statements for the company, its subsidiaries and other related entities. The ideal candidate will have a track record in the advertising industry, a desire to join a growing firm, and experience with NetSuite. This position reports directly to the Sr Accounting Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOwn close activities for assigned entities including but not limited to GL review, account flux analyses, account reconciliations, and journal entriesPerform month-over-month analysis on the balance sheet and income statement and provide explanations for material variances.Review project profitability report and liaise with client partnershipReconcile balance sheet accounts and roll forward balance sheet reconciliations.Demonstrate initiative to resolve any balancing issues/discrepancies.Own monthly client billing and collection efforts.Review employee expense reports and ensure adherence to employee handbookAssist with tax compliance (sales/use tax, property taxes, personal property renditions, 1099 issuance etc.).Back up for accounts payable, bill processing, vendor payments (electronic and checks), mail sorting, scanning and filingParticipate in identifying and implementing processes and system improvements.Assist in documentation of standard operating procedures for book close and overall internal financials controlsPerform such accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the Sr Accounting Manager, Controller and CFOPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within a fast paced, professional environmentAttention to detail and thoroughnessA sense of ownership of tasks and strive in creating valueAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate analytically with all levels of personnel and management.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, intermediate Excel skills involving lookups, pivots, Ifs, index match)Solid understanding of US GAAP principlesGood problem solving, organizational and time management skills.Experience with NetSuite or other advanced ERP system preferred (Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics etc.)WHAT WE OFFER YOU 90% of employee medical paid by the company (coverage for individuals)50% of employee dental paid by the companyShort-Term Disability InsuranceSupplemental Healthcare401k Employer Match (100% match up to 6% of salary)6 Weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)Annual Bonus PlanPaid Parental LeaveHybrid Work EnvironmentGenerous Employee Referral ProgramCasual Dress CodeFree Snacks & BeveragesMentoring OpportunitiesProfessional Development OpportunitiesImaginuity is committed to complying fully with all applicable laws ensuring equal employment opportunities.
