Oncology - Medical Oncology Physician
Job Opportunity: Physician - Oncology in Brattleboro, VT Join a leading not-for-profit community hospital in the beautiful town of Brattleboro, Vermont! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff MD in Oncology to become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This part-time position allows you to provide personalized, patient-centered cancer care in an outpatient clinic setting while making a significant impact in the lives of patients and their families. With opportunities to participate in clinical trials and advancements in oncology, you will work in a supportive and professional environment. Job Responsibilities: Diagnose and stage various cancers through clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory tests.Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.Monitor and manage patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care.Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes.Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the cancer journey.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.Participate in clinical trials and quality improvement projects.Stay current on clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.Mentor and guide other healthcare staff in oncology practices.Contribute to patient care planning and department initiatives for improved outcomes.Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour.Not accepting visa candidates.Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM to PERM candidates.Not open to candidates who plan to work this job in conjunction with another position.
