Sales Associate

The UPS Store is seeking a upbeat customer service professional who thrive on making customers smile while multitasking to meet and exceed team goals. This position is not just taking orders. The candidate should be able to assess the customers needs and use our service offerings to determine the best solution including up-selling the customer to higher service levels. The UPS Store is a Franchise subsidiary of the The UPS STORE INC and is not affiliated with UPS, their warehouses or drivers. Each store is individually owned and operated by members of the community. We work closely with local UPS drivers but do not handle package deliveries or driver routes. Our services focus on helping a wide variety of clients from small businesses to individuals, and eCommerce through packing and shipping, mailboxes, graphic design, printing, notary, and more. * We are seeking candidates for a full time position. * Hours: 35-40 hours per week (5 shifts per week) Compensation: $15.00-$15.50 per hour during training period (typically 3-5 months). $16 per hour once training is complete. *Higher starting compensation available for well qualified candidates.* *Initial Benefits:* * Paid birthdays off * Medical / Vision / Dental plan available * Employer provided Group Life Insurance $50,000 (must work 30hrs/wk) * Paid Vacation plan (after 1 year) (must work 30 hrs/wk) * Flexible schedule, _*Weekend availability is a must*_ *Requirements:* * Flexible availability Monday – Sunday. We are open 7 days a week with major Holidays off. _Saturday and Sunday availability is a must as well as being able to open or close the store during the week._ * 18+ years old * Be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods at a time * 6 months of POS experience preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, free of spelling and grammatical errors * Proficient at typing / data entry * Ability to multi-task * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suites, or the ability to learn new software is highly desirable * *Previous print or graphic experience a plus* * Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork *Job Description:* * Smile and greet customers, determine the reason for their visit and apply sales techniques to provide best services available. * Upsell customers to our services. * Receive and accurately sort mail in the mailboxes * Assist customers with shipping services and packaging items to ship * Assisting customers with copies, printing, faxing, and notarizing * Process payments and reconcile POS at the end of each day * Inventory counts, stocking shelves, and general housekeeping * Capable of becoming a Notary in the State of Idaho *Contact: Doug Manning @ 208-850-4973* Pay: From $15.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
