Engineering Manager - Mining and Mineral Processing

We have a customer in Tucson, AZ who has an IMMEDIATE opening for an Engineering Manager who can run an Engineering Department for a Mining and Mineral Processing Operations company. In this role you will supervise a group of Engineers and Designers (10-12) who are directly involved in all aspects of mining and mineral processing operations including equipment selection and arrangements, establishment of dimensions, clearances and design for equipment and facilities for a variety of mining projects. You will supervise Mechanical and Electrical/Controls Engineers, Civil and Structural Engineers as well as CAD Designers/Drafters who support proposals and projects with CAD drawings and modifications on mining projects throughout the Western US. This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position based in Tucson, AZ, Job Requirements: BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining Engineering or similar with 10 -15 years experience with large/heavy mechanical systems used in mining, mineral processing, aggregate, large bulk equipment handling operations Experience with proposals, CAD drawing and Engineering reviews (AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDEDGE, TEKLA, etc.) Experience with equipment selections, general and effective/efficient arrangements, safety Knowledge and experience with large pumps, hi-pressure systems, check valves, conveying, milling and crushing or similar equipment, electrical power/substations, controls, MCCs, roads, plant buildings Strong written and verbal skills, site visits and "vision" for equipment, facility and process improvements, copper and gold mine experience a plus Strong management and leadership skills and abilities #PRI
