As the authorized representative for HME Ahrens-Fox and Spencer Manufacturing, we work closely with departments across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts to design, build, and deliver apparatus that meet the specific operational needs of each community.To support this mission, we are seeking an on-call CDL driver to play a key role in the customer experience. This position is responsible for transporting fire apparatus to and from customer locations, whether delivering demonstration units that showcase the fit, finish, and capabilities of the brands we represent, or ensuring the safe, professional delivery of a department's new truck into service.Join us and be part of our mission to support those who protect our communities.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and transport fire apparatus (pumpers, tankers, rescues, etc.) to and from customer locations, dealer facilities, and eventsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure each vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and presentation-readyDeliver demonstration units to departments, ensuring the apparatus is staged to highlight fit, finish, and key featuresSupport sales staff during demo visits by positioning apparatus appropriatelyTransport newly purchased apparatus from manufacturer or service locations to customer departments for final deliveryEnsure the apparatus arrives clean and fueled upon final deliveryMaintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and required DOT compliance documentationCommunicate clearly with internal staff and customer representatives regarding delivery status and timingIdentify and report any mechanical or cosmetic issues observed during transportEnsure compliance with all CDL regulations, safety standards, and company policiesRepresent the company professionally at all times, recognizing that deliveries and demos are high-visibility customer interactionsQualifications - RequiredValid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Ability to work for up to 10-hours in a single dayQualifications - PreferredCurrent or past firefighterInterest in fire apparatus salesBenefits and PerksCompany-provided fire truck4-hour minimum shift pay guaranteeApplications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers webpage.J-18808-Ljbffr
