Building Enclosure Consultant

We are partnered with a respected sustainability and building science consulting firm seeking a Building Enclosure Analyst to join their growing team.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced enclosure consultants, architects, and engineers on projects that improve how buildings perform for decades to come. You’ll gain hands-on experience evaluating the systems that protect buildings from water, air, vapor, and thermal failures while contributing to healthier, more durable, and more energy-efficient spaces.What You’ll DoSupport building enclosure consulting and commissioning projects for new construction and existing buildingsAssist with design reviews of exterior wall systems, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, and air barrier assembliesParticipate in site visits, field observations, and construction phase quality assurance reviewsHelp perform diagnostic testing such as water penetration testing, airtightness testing, infrared thermography, and other enclosure performance evaluationsDocument findings, prepare reports, and communicate recommendations to project teamsCoordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and internal technical staff throughout project phasesContribute to forensic investigations involving moisture intrusion, condensation, air leakage, and façade performance issuesWhat We’re Looking For1–3 years of experience in building enclosure consulting, architecture, engineering, construction, inspection, or related fieldBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Science, or similar disciplineUnderstanding of construction assemblies, building materials, and how buildings go togetherStrong writing and communication skillsComfortable working both in the office and in the fieldDetail-oriented mindset with curiosity and desire to learn from senior expertsExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plusWhy This Opportunity Stands OutWork on impactful projects across sectors, including education, multifamily, life sciences, commercial, and institutional buildingsJoin a collaborative, technical team that values mentorship and professional growthGain exposure to both consulting strategy and hands-on field investigationBe part of the movement toward higher-performing, more sustainable buildingsClear runway for advancement into consultant, project management, and technical leadership pathsIdeal FitYou enjoy solving real-world construction problems, asking why buildings fail or succeed, and want a career where technical expertise and visible impact grow together.
