Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified English Language Assessment Specialist to support the development and review of English proficiency testing materials. This role will contribute to the creation, evaluation, and improvement of test items used in large-scale language assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the development and revision of English language test materials
Create assessment items across language skills such as reading, listening, writing, and speaking
Ensure all materials align with established testing frameworks such as CEFR or ACTFL
Review test content for clarity, accuracy, fairness, and linguistic quality
Collaborate with internal teams on pilot testing, validation, and item calibration
Analyze item performance data to support test development decisions
Maintain documentation and meet established content development timelines
Support ongoing improvements to testing content and assessment processes
Qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Language Assessment, Education, or a related discipline preferred
Experience in language assessment development, item writing, or test content review
Strong understanding of language proficiency frameworks and assessment principles
Excellent command of English, including grammar, style, and academic writing standards
Experience reviewing test materials or scripts is an advantage
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional environment
Must currently reside in the United States

Pay: $68,000.00 per year
