Duties
Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Lead and assist with a variety of engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, theater, and educational games
Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respect and cooperation
Support children with homework help, tutoring, or special education needs to foster academic growth
Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral concerns
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to monitor each child's progress and address individual needs
Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages learning and creativity
Skills
Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet fun environment
Experience working with children in daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare settings
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
Ability to handle behavior management effectively and compassionately
First aid certification or willingness to obtain it upon hiring
Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with diverse needs
Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
Enthusiasm for sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities is a plus
Ability to remain energetic, positive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
