Special Education MIS Clerk

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is currently seeking a MIS Clerk for Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative.QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Must be organized and be able towork independently. Applicants must have strong computer skills, and be competent in the use ofbasic office equipment. Must be able to handle multiple due dates, time restrictions, and be attentiveto details.REPORTS TO: Special Education AdministratorsPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares, inputs, and retrieves student information using the student records systemUpdates timelines and calendars for participating districtsProvides case information to teachersIdentifies errors and assists teachers and staff in correcting errors in student data systemEnsures student records are transferred appropriatelyResponds to a wide variety of inquiries from a range of stakeholdersESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintains the IEP reporting database program with efficiencyPrepares and runs reports for administration and staffCreates setup for beginning of the year in Bright SpedMaintains all files in accordance to TBLSEC guidelinesAttends yearly and as needed training for MISAnswers phone calls and questionsMeets reporting deadlinesDownloads information from Bright Sped to SpedProUploads and sends FTP filesMaintains database of all incoming paperwork and data dailyProcesses all incoming IEP documents and student files dailyKeeps accurate and well maintained filesContacts other school districts to obtain IEP paperwork for students who transfer to the TBLSECSends exiting student recordsKeeps track of outstanding filesReports timely and accurate data to SpedPro and KSDEImports and inputs data into SpedProChecks and corrects errors in SpedProAttends required trainings as needed by KSDEOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:Handles correspondence and answers multi-phone line systemManages supplies and places ordersOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements: Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in the work environment.
