Cost Accountant - Baton Rouge, LA

Position Summary: MLU Services LLC is looking for a Cost Accountant able to collaborate with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide seamless communication between the field finance team and the corporate accounting team. This position will be a flexible team member who will have to prepare cost analysis of cost proposals, invoicing, and auditing. This team member will be responsible for the following. Job Duties and Responsibilities include:Collecting and analyze data for Cost ProposalsDevelop and analyze cost standardsAccounting auditsTracking monthly accrualsPrepare audit reports and present findings to upper managementAdvise executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on the gathered financial data and compose cost proposalsSupport other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditureParticipate in the Exploratory Call and attend/participate in Recovery Scoping Meetings50% Travel a must during projects/mission Skills and Desired Competencies: Advanced Excel Skills, to include pivot tables and V-lookup a plusData AnalyticsEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred; 3 yrs. government contract experience in lieu of degree2-3 year experience Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
