Senior National Sales Representative We are seeking a Senior National Sales Representative with extensive service center or mill experience to aggressively grow our carbon steel plate business across the Eastern United States.This is a high-impact, salaried/commission-driven role for a proven producer with established relationships and the ability to move significant tonnage & processed parts through high-profile accounts, contract customers, and high-volume end users. Focus includes as-is carbon plate as well as fully processed material tailored to customer requirements.Position OverviewThis role carries full national responsibility and is designed for an experienced sales professional who thrives on autonomy, accountability, and performance-based compensation. The right candidate will leverage existing relationships while developing new business opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and grow a national portfolio of:Strategic / high-profile end-user accountsContract customers and long-term supply agreementsHigh-volume projects and value-added processingDrive sales of carbon steel plate in as-is and value-added / processed formatsIdentify and capitalize on new market opportunities nationwideNegotiate pricing, margins, and contracts with decision-makersWork closely with operations, project management, logistics, and credit to execute at a high levelMaintain strong executive-level customer relationshipsMonitor market conditions, pricing trends, and competitive activityTravel nationally to support key accounts and business developmentConsistently deliver volume, margin, and profitability targetsQualifications10+ years of successful steel sales experience, preferably within a service center or mill environmentDemonstrated track record of high-volume plate sales and margin performanceEstablished book of business and industry relationships that can translate quicklyExperience managing national or multi-region territoriesHighly motivated, self-directed, and results-drivenComfortable operating independently with full accountability for resultsPreferred QualificationsContract pricing and multi-year supply agreementsSelling processed plate (burning, drilling, beveling etc.)Exposure to OEMs, heavy fabrication, energy, construction, or industrial marketsCore sales region Eastern United StatesCompensation & BenefitsCommission-driven compensation plan with significant upsideBase salary structured to support commission-focused earningsExpense reimbursementBenefits package commensurate with experience with company matched 401K PlanOpportunity to build a long-term, high-earning role with national visibilityIf you are a proven producer-or know someone who fits this profile-and are interested in a high-upside national opportunity, I would welcome a confidential conversation.
