Production Floater - 1st Shift

DescriptionOVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Production Floater who will be responsible for assisting in various production tasks, operating machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring the smooth flow of production processes. Your ability to quickly learn and adapt to different roles, as well as your attention to detail, will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of production tasks, including operating machinery, assembling components, and packaging finished productsAssist in the setup and preparation of production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocolsFollow established production procedures and guidelines to ensure quality standards and efficiencyConduct quality checks on products and materials to identify any defects or deviations from specificationsMaintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and materialsAssist in material handling and inventory management, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storageCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve any production-related issuesCross-train in different production roles and areas to provide support and fill in as neededComply with all safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe working environmentContinuously seek opportunities to improve processes, suggest ideas, and contribute to the overall success of the production departmentRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not requiredAbility to quickly learn and adapt to different production tasks and rolesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate machinery and assemble productsBasic computer skills for data entry and production documentationStrong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisorsPhysical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periodsFlexibility to work different shifts and overtime as neededCommitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocolsEDUCATIONHigh School DiplomaLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEMonday-Thursday; 5:45am-4:15pmTotal Compensation IncludesHealth/dental/vision coverage Employer-paid and supplemental life insurance Short- and long-term disability insurance Generous paid time off and holiday pay Monthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify) 401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% Education support program Safety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement Referral bonuses Bonus plan for all full-time employees WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
