Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Services Lead to drive strategic growth and client engagement across the Northeast in the areas of resilience and climate adaptation. In this role, you'll leverage your technical insight to cultivate relationships that strengthen our cross-market resiliency strategy, advancing connectivity and innovative solutions for positive outcomes in our communities.
This high-impact role will drive opportunities for Jacobs to support our Northeast clients in addressing resiliency and adaptation to address coastal and inland flooding, extreme temperatures, aging asset management, energy and grid reliability and more. The role will support all resilience pursuits across the Northeast, but will be based in New York City and have a specific focus on client relationships within the New York City metropolitan area.
As a trusted advisor and connector, you'll lead pursuit strategies, strengthen client relationships, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, resilient infrastructure solutions. From integrated public realm enhancements to transportation climate work to energy resilience projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving Jacobs' mission to create more sustainable, climate resilient communities and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a client-facing leader of Jacobs to grow new resiliency and climate adaptation work, building trust and long-term partnerships.
Work alongside our team of client account managers, to drive pipeline of resiliency work with our existing clients, and act as main client focal point for new and emerging clients.
Maintain relationships with key climate resilience stakeholders, including public agencies, private sector partners, non-profits, and professional organizations.
Identify emerging client needs and opportunities in climate resilience across the region and use this to drive opportunities for Jacobs, with existing and new clients (particularly in municipal and higher education markets).
Drive strategic pursuits by identifying, planning, and leading winning strategies for climate and resiliency projects in the region.
Provide thought leadership: e.g., develop abstracts for regional and national resilience-focused conferences, forums, and professional organizations.
Represent Jacobs at industry conferences and events, positioning us as a leader in resiliency solutions.
Attend and host events in collaboration with local teams/SMEs; e.g., spearhead organizing Jacobs-hosted resilience seminars/webinars and events to foster client relationships.
Work with our marketing teams and Market Solutions to publicize Jacobs' successes in the resiliency space.
Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to align client needs with Jacobs' capabilities.
Organize and mentor staff involved in Jacobs' resilience strategy for the NYC region, participating fully in Jacobs' global market strategy by connecting with regional leadership & talent.
Build capacity across interdisciplinary skill sets: e.g., develop and deliver training sessions, including lunch-and-learns, to build awareness and capabilities around climate resilience among Northeast staff.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Planning or equivalent field
Strong relationships with Northeast agencies within the community of resiliency and climate adaptation.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and subject matter experts delivering resilience and climate adaptation projects
Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external, including public speaking
Strong proposal and technical writing skills
Ideally, you'll also have
Professional Engineer (PE) License in New York (or ability to apply for reciprocity), License in Architecture in New York, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience in the planning and/or design of public realm, transportation, or water infrastructure/facilities
Experience in delivering and/or pursuing resilience-related projects

The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
