Bookstore Lead

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways. Bookstore Lead.....is a part-time position that will manage bookstore volunteers performing the duties with the intention of creating a safe and inviting environment for attendees to deepen their relationship with Jesus. This position will also work alongside Chesterfield campus staff and pastoral team to facilitate and shepherd the spiritual growth of our church community through resources available in the bookstore. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCreate a safe and welcoming environment for all guests in the bookstore by having volunteer team that are hospitable, familiar and knowledgeable about bookstore resources Recruiting, training, leading and shepherding volunteers. including scheduling, cultivating a volunteer environment where volunteers feel equipped, empowered, connected and celebrated Coordinate with campus staff and inventory specialist when a pop-up bookstore is necessary for Explorations Coordinate with Spiritual Oversight Team if additional resources are requested by pastoral team, teachers or ministries at The Crossing Attend monthly Staff meetings/chapels at the Chesterfield Campus Other duties as assigned by leadership Spiritual Gifts Helpful for This PositionHospitality Leadership Shepherding Wisdom Character Traits Needed for This PositionPassionate about their relationship with God Passionate about the spiritual growth of self and others Passionate about The Crossing Team Player Trustworthy, reliable, teachable, humble, flexible Self-motivated Ability to keep information confidential Necessary Skills and AttributesAbility to maintain confidentiality Emphasis on accuracy, timelines and follow-up Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and clients Strong time management skills Ability to prioritize and organize workload Solid memory for details and new information Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Computer Skills MUST HAVES FOR ALL STAFF AT THE CROSSINGAttend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis Passionate about their relationship with God Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ Regard the Bible as God's final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing's Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles Apply today and see why The Crossing may be a great fit for you!
