Floor Care Specialist - Healthcare

The work you do each day helps create a comfortable environment our residents are proud to call home.ResponsibilitiesAs a Floor Care Specialist, you’ll help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our Healthcare environment through a variety of floor care and cleaning responsibilities, including:Dust mopping, damp mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and refinishing floorsCarpet care including spotting, bonneting, shampooing, extracting, and restorative cleaningVacuuming hallways and common areas according to established schedulesCompleting detailed cleaning of edges, vents, sprinkler heads, and project areasOperating floor cleaning equipment safely and effectivelyCoordinating floor care procedures with other departments as neededObserving and reporting maintenance or repair needs throughout the campusFollowing safety procedures and properly handling cleaning chemicalsWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious floor care or housekeeping experience preferredExperience operating floor cleaning equipment is helpfulWillingness to learn and work independentlyAbility to follow written instructions and cleaning schedulesDependable, detail-oriented, and team-focusedCommitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredFloor care certifications or specialized training are a plusHealthcare or senior living experience is beneficial but not requiredPhysical RequirementsThis position requires regular walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.
