A Day in the Life Start your morning with a clear pick list and a purpose. You’ll use RF scanners to locate parts by bin, part number, or description and confirm each item against a paper pick ticket when needed. Throughout the day, you’ll operate sit-down and reach forklifts to pull orders, receive stock, and load or unload pipe and other materials from flatbed and box trailers. In between, you’ll check shipping inquiries in JDE and prepare outbound shipments through the Varsity system to ensure they’re packed correctly and sent on time. Your Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm What You’ll Do Execute routine warehousing activities: shipping, receiving, will-call, inventory control, and general material handling. Operate forklifts to pick, stage, load, and unload materials (including pipe) safely and efficiently. Pick orders with RF technology or paper pick tickets using bin locations, part numbers, and descriptions. Use JDE for shipping/receiving inquiries and status checks. Lift boxes and move materials as part of shipping and receiving workflows. Verify accuracy during packing and ensure all items are packed to company standards. Process shipments accurately using the Varsity system. Complete required training, including safety curriculum, to an acceptable competency level as defined by management. Follow all company policies and procedures. Support additional tasks as assigned by the warehouse lead, warehouse manager, or branch operations manager. What You Bring At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse or material handling role. Comfort with keypad/keyboard entry and basic computer skills. Experience with RF scanners in a barcoded environment (preferred). 1 year working in a fast-paced, multitask setting with time pressures. 1 year of forklift operation experience. 1 year using Warehouse Management Software. Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers and decimals.
