This role sits within a highly visible institutional credit team supporting structured lending and financing activities tied to Asset-Based Lending, Lender Finance, Trade Finance, NAV lending, and broader specialty credit transactions.The position offers significant interaction with senior deal teams, capital markets professionals, and executive risk leadership while maintaining approval authority across a diverse portfolio of structured credit transactions. Ideal for candidates with deep experience evaluating non-traditional credit structures and private capital financing solutions within large financial institutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead credit underwriting and portfolio oversight for structured finance transactions across Asset-Based Lending, Lender Finance, Trade Finance, NAV financing, and specialty/private credit productsEvaluate complex borrower structures, collateral packages, liquidity profiles, cash flow generation, and sponsor support across middle market and institutional transactionsAnalyze and approve new credit opportunities involving warehouse facilities, receivables finance, fund financing, asset-backed structures, and bespoke lending solutionsReview transaction structures, covenant frameworks, borrowing base mechanics, advance rates, and legal protections to ensure alignment with risk appetitePartner closely with origination teams, capital markets, legal, and portfolio management groups throughout transaction execution and ongoing monitoring processesPresent transaction recommendations and portfolio updates to senior risk committees and executive stakeholdersMonitor existing portfolio exposures, industry developments, collateral performance, and counterparty credit trends while proactively identifying emerging risksParticipate in borrower and sponsor due diligence meetings, including management presentations and lender discussionsNegotiate and provide guidance on financing documentation, intercreditor agreements, and structural credit protectionsMentor junior credit professionals and assist in enhancing underwriting standards, portfolio analytics, and risk management frameworks
