CNC Setup/Operator - 1st SHIFT

CNC Set Up Operator – 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) Vaupell is a premier global solutions provider for manufacturing for the aerospace, medical and defense industries. Vaupell Northeast in Agawam, Massachusetts is expanding machining capabilities and seeking to hire a CNC Set-up Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate’s primary function will be to prepare CNC machines for production by setting up small to medium size precision machined parts using provided work instructions, tooling, fixturing and computer numerical control (CNC) lathes and milling machines as well as support production by assembling job packets that include all necessary documentation and instructions to set up and run production. Key duties and responsibilities: Assembles cutting tools in tool holders and positions tool holders in machine spindles as specified, using hand tools, or insert cutting tools in specified machine magazines. Sets up jobs per set up sheet Document inspection, TPM and other required data as directed. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 to 4 years of job specific experience setting up CNC machines Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write and interpret documents i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Must have mechanical aptitude and good math skills Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
