Drafting Technician

Job Objective: As a team member of Panel Processing, the Drafting Technician will work with our Sales team and production facilities to create the necessary job release documentation to produce various store fixtures, furniture, or cabinet component parts. Job Responsibilities: Creation/Processing of job run information utilizing various design/production software. Produce plate drawings for all PPI production plants. Work with Engineering and Sales to update the ERP system with new item numbers, job BOM’s and other information required to move orders into manufacturing. Assist Engineering and Production departments with quoting/purchasing of components required for production. Engineering related assistance. Abilities & Requirements: Strong math/geometry skills, strong critical thinking abilities Completed or working toward associate degree in drafting or engineering related field. Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) Experience using Microsoft Office software (Excel and Access) Good written and verbal communication skills Team-oriented attitude – willingness to assist others. Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to follow involved instructions, troubleshoot issues, schedule, organize, coordinate, train, and prepare operating procedures with minimal supervision.
