Role: Senior Full-Stack .NET Application Modernization DeveloperLocation: Atlanta, GA OnsiteDuration: 12+ MonthsClient: State of GeorgiaLocal Candidates only in Georgia.Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack .NET Application Developer to lead the upgrade, modernization, and expansion of the GaPDS application. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently designing, developing, implementing, testing, deploying, and supporting application modules, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.This role requires strong hands-on experience upgrading legacy ASP.NET applications to ASP.NET MVC and modern .NET, along with mandatory SQL Server and database expertise. Azure and Azure Function App experience are required, and experience with React for UI/UX modernization is a strong advantage.Key Responsibilities• Upgrade legacy ASP.NET applications to ASP.NET MVC and modern .NET versions (e.g., .NET 6/7/8)• Refactor and modernize application architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability• Support UI/UX modernization initiatives, including React integration• Design, upgrade, and maintain RESTful APIs• Develop, upgrade, and support Azure Function Apps• Design and develop backend components using C# and ASP.NET MVC• Work extensively with SQL Server, including database development, query optimization, upgrades, and data cleanup• Develop transactional, business, and analytical reports using SSRS or Power BI• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis• Maintain application documentation, credentials, and user manuals• Participate in R&D, AI integration initiatives, and project upgradesRequired Technical Skills (Mandatory)• 8+ years of professional experience in .NET application development• Proven experience upgrading legacy ASP.NET applications to ASP.NET MVC and modern .NET• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API development• SQL Server and database expertise is compulsory, including data cleanup and performance tuning• Required hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:- Azure App Services- Azure Function Apps- Application deployment, configuration, and support in Azure• Ability to independently design, develop, test, deploy, and support application modulesPreferred / Added Advantage Skills• Experience with React for UI/UX modernization• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting tools• Exposure to AI/ML integrations (e.g., Azure AI services)• Experience supporting government or public-sector applications• Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance best practicesEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
