The team is known for a strong commitment to dependable customer service and for standing behind the systems they deliver, even when technology itself is not always perfect.Role Description The Audio Visual Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Norcross, GA. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for installed AV systems, including diagnosing and resolving equipment, network, and configuration issues. The Audio Visual Support Engineer will perform routine system checks, assist with system updates, and ensure optimal performance of audio, video, and control platforms in client environments. The role includes supporting end users, documenting issues and resolutions, coordinating with installation and design teams, and escalating complex problems when needed. The individual will also contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and uphold Baker Audio Visual®’s standards for reliable, customer-focused service.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for audio, video, and control systems.Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, including diagnosing hardware and software issues.Candidates should possess Customer Support and Customer Service skills for working directly with clients and end users.Candidates should possess knowledge of Operating Systems relevant to AV control, conferencing, and networking environments.Hands-on experience with AV technologies, including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, and Dante.Knowledge of networking principles related to AV systems (IP addressing, VLANs, streaming protocols).3+ years' experience with commercial AV systems (e.g., displays, projectors, DSPs, conferencing systems, control processors).Ability to read and interpret AV schematics, signal flow diagrams, and technical documentation is preferred.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are important.Prior experience in AV integration, IT support, or a related technical field, and industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA CTS) are a plus.Must have a valid driver's license, clean MVR, and willingness to travel to client sites.
