We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paralegal to join our growing practice. What You'll Do Drafting and managing outgoing and incoming discovery , including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission Drafting pleadings , motions, and other court filings Assisting attorneys with trial preparation , including organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, and coordinating logistics Managing case files from intake through resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and matters are properly organized Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff Performing legal research and other duties as assigned What We're Looking For 3+ years of paralegal experience in family law or another litigation practice area Strong working knowledge of Virginia court procedures and filing requirements preferred Proficiency in legal drafting and the ability to take feedback and revise working documents Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills A client-centered approach and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy Paralegal certificate or relevant degree is good but paralegal experience is more important What We Offer Health insurance Dental insurance Life insurance Short- and long-term disability insurance Parental leave Paid time off Hybrid (remote) work options Ongoing education and opportunities for community engagement A collegial, supportive team environment at a firm where your contributions are recognized How to Apply Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and references to Kabara Korth Praskavich at kpraskavich@maddoxandgerock.com.
