Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Step into a dynamic Physical Therapist contract opportunity serving local schools near Saint Augustine, FL. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) is designed to provide coverage for a 12-week maternity leave at the beginning of the school year, with the possibility of starting earlier during the extended school year. As an itinerant therapist, you'll likely be assigned to multiple schools, collaborating with educational teams to support students' physical development and motor skills.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Valid Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist (PT) license requiredPrevious school-based experience preferredAbility and willingness to travel between school sites as neededFamiliarity with working with children of diverse abilities and age groupsStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsMust complete fingerprint clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse or demonstrate recent valid printsWillingness to complete additional credentialing, including securing a JLA badge (may take up to 10 business days)Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services tailored to meet student IEP or 504 plan goalsTravel between assigned school sites to deliver direct and consultative servicesDevelop, implement, and document individualized therapy plansCollaborate with educators, school staff, and families regarding student progressParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendationsUphold compliance with all district and state guidelines, maintaining student confidentialityThis onsite-only position offers the chance to make a significant impact on student success and wellness within a supportive educational environment.
