Family Services Coordinator
*Job Summary and Responsibilities*As a Family Services Coordinator, you will be an integral contributor to our operational success, providing comprehensive support to leadership and ensuring an environment of efficiency and high-quality service.Every day, you will facilitate the streamlined operation of the office, managing diverse administrative functions and cultivating effective internal and external communication networks.To thrive in this critical role, you will demonstrate exceptional organizational acumen, a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to anticipating needs and delivering accurate, timely support. Complete a comprehensive assessment of each family with respect to health care, substance abuse treatment, education, child development, employment, child care, housing and legal issues, as well as an evaluation of parent-child interaction and the actual physical care provided by parents. Develop an individualized family plan that incorporates family strengths and needs and promotes self-sufficiency in each of the above areas. Work with caregivers to develop weekly home visits and weekly activity plans that help caregivers identify children's developmental strengths, temperamental characteristics, and communication styles; support caregivers in developing organized and safe environments; and assist caregivers in learning about normal child development, age-appropriate activities, nutrition, and routine health care needs. On an ongoing basis, identify emerging social, health, parenting, developmental, and environmental issues and provide referrals, advocacy, support, and anticipatory guidance as needed. Collaborate and act as liaison with community agency representatives at various organizational levels to facilitate and coordinates provision of needed services, including, as necessary, convening joint case conferences with staff from other involved agencies and making joint home visits when interagency or interdisciplinary collaboration is indicated. Participate in staff meetings, scheduled trainings, and weekly case conferences.Job Requirements*Required Bachelor's degree in child development, social work, psychology, human development, or a related field.
