Job Description Job Title: Assistant ManagerLocation: Westlake area, Austin, TXLas Palomas Restaurant-Bar is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to maintain the restaurant’s high standards and an environment where teamwork is emphasized, and individual excellence is encouraged. We offer a 5-day work week. This is a full-time position.Job DescriptionSummary: Ensure smooth and efficient daily restaurant operation and proper training and supervision of all personnel. Carry out company’s procedures and ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed to ensure the safety of employees and guests. Assistant Manager reports to the Front of the House Manager.Responsibilities:Responsible for assigned shifts, assisting in overall management.Ensure all procedures and policies are followedSupervise all front of the house staffEnsure guest satisfaction and handle guest comments and complaints.Interview, hire, supervise train and resolve employees’ conflictsScheduling front of the house staffMonitor food and beverage preparation and presentation.Maintain condition of dining room and patio.Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.Responsible for cash handlingEnforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standardsJob Requirements 2 years of experience as an Assistant Manager preferredShould be able to manage staff promoting teamworkAbility to manage deadlines and exhibit grace under pressure of busy meal times.General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Good verbal and communication skillsExcellent customer skills and professional demeanorStrong attention to detailManager Food Safety and TABC Certification.
