Program Therapist
ARMS OF HOPE MISSION: To transform the lives of disadvantaged children, youth and families by providing hope and support in a nurturing, Trauma informed Christian environment.
SUMMARY: Responsible for counseling and supporting Residential Care and Together Program clients during placement in keeping with Arms of Hope vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Counseling: Maintain client load given at direction of clinical director. Maintain proper documentation and record keeping of hours of services provided.
Life skills: Responsible for planning, organizing and executing life skills classes for all programs on the schedule set by CD.
Treatment team: Participate in treatment team meetings and support a therapeutic mindset and client driven perspective within the framework of programing requirements.
Training: Plan and give training to staff as directed by CD.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Masters degree. Knowledge or experience with Play Therapy a plus but not a requirement.
Certificates, licenses, registrations: Counseling license in the State of Texas. LPC or LPC-Associate
Other: Must be excellent communicator, ability to work with a team to support client.
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
