Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make a difference in the lives of middle school students by providing exceptional support as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative educational setting. This full-time, contract role spans from July 1st through June 11th and offers the opportunity to directly impact the growth and success of 7th and 8th grade students. Two dedicated professionals are needed for this rewarding role, supporting a manageable caseload of 10 students.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related fieldValid Special Education teaching certificationExperience working with students in grades 7-8, preferably in special education settingsStrong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and complianceAbility to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and familiesEffective classroom management and organization skillsCollaborative mindset and adaptability to the unique needs of each studentCore Responsibilities:Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 7-8Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and document outcomesCollaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providersFoster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independenceCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians to report on progress and support at homeAttend team meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP meetings as requiredThis full-time position offers the unique satisfaction of helping students thrive academically and socially throughout the school year.
