Plant Maintenance Technician

Maintain critical equipment list. Manage maintenance inventory supplies for critical equipment to minimize line downtime. Orders supplies as needed Ensure facility adheres to OSHA, Building Code and LEED Standards while performing basic building repairs and audits. Prioritize Safety and Ergonomic tasks. Cross train other associates with training material, supports hands on experiences and updates training materials as needed. Back up facilities personnel when needed. Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned Technician Level IIPerforms ongoing preventive maintenance of workstations, equipment, and machinery according to specifications to ensure quality products are built. Update maintenance database and documentation as needed. Writes and maintains equipment maintenance procedures and operating instructions. Conducts daily routine checks through the building to ensure the building and equipment is in good working condition. Reports any concerns to management immediately. Conducts Safety Programs and Critical Processes training and supports documentation updates. Provides assistance when building emergencies occur. Ensure facility adheres to OSHA, Building Code LEED Standards while performing intermediate level building repairs, installation and audits. Including Level I Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technician Level IIITroubleshoots and evaluates line down issues as needed. Recommends solutions. Works interdepartmental or with contractors. Research for new facilities equipment. Adheres to OSHA, Building Code and LEED Standards while performing building repairs, installations, modifications and audits. May flex schedule to supervise or perform activities off regular normal business hours. Including Level I & II Essential Duties and Responsibilities Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Set or follow priorities in order to complete assignments and fulfill responsibilities. Ensure high quality work output; plan, organize, and coordinate work efficiently; meet assigned deadlines Demonstrate commitment, cooperation, flexibility and work well with minimal supervision Ability to learn and apply new skills, keep abreast of current developments Ability to identify and resolve problems, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, follow safety and security procedures and provide recommendations and improvements. Education And ExperienceExperience with Forklift/scissor lift Knowledge of AutoCad, Solid Works or similar software Experience MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Outlook and internet research 10 hours OSHA, Fire Extinguisher, Fall Protection, Fire Sprinklers, Building Code and LEED knowledge Technician Level IAssociate's degree (A. A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus, basic electricity, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and similar facilities repairs knowledge Technician Level IIThree or more years related experience doing facilities repairs and installations in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, concrete and similar Experience with Machine guarding, welding certification, heavy equipment and similar preferred Technician Level IIISix or more years related experience doing facilities repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, concrete, painting, patching, and similar Experience 2+ years with Machine guarding, welding certification, heavy equipment and similar Working Conditions / Physical RequirementsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, go up and down stairs, ladders or ramps, kneel, squat, crawl; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and work at a desk or computer The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., occasionally 35 lbs. The employee should be able to operate a forklift and/or elevated work platform and similar heavy-duty equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and chemicals and must wear PPE as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Duties may require employee to work under the sun/rain or exposed to outdoor weather.
