Data Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their growing data team in a full-time, direct hire role. This position is ideal for a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in Microsoft data technologies who thrives in a collaborative, fully remote environment.⚠️ Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.Key Responsibilities:Partner with business stakeholders to elicit data-related requirements and translate them into technical specificationsDesign, build, and maintain ETL processes to support enterprise data warehousing and system integrationsDevelop and optimize data models to drive business insights and valueMonitor, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines and existing processesEstablish and promote best practices for data transformation, preparation, and analytics enablementSupport reporting and data visualization initiatives as neededEnsure adherence to data governance practices including documentation, security, and access controlsPerform data validation, quality checks, and integrity assuranceApply data classification and masking techniques to protect sensitive informationParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team standardsDesign scalable, modern data architectures and pipelinesIntegrate data from multiple sources into a unified ecosystemAutomate workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortEnsure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality standardsMentor junior team members and contribute to team developmentParticipate in project communication and coordination effortsTravel occasionally as needed for project workRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL databases and data warehousing tools, including:SQL ServerAzure SQLAzure Synapse7+ years of ETL development experience using Microsoft technologies such as:SSISAzure Data FactoryAzure Synapse AnalyticsMicrosoft Fabric2+ years of recent experience with Microsoft Fabric7+ years developing semantic data models (Analysis Services Tabular, Power BI, Fabric)Strong experience with Kimball data warehousing methodologiesExpertise in SQL development (queries, stored procedures, views, functions)Experience with:Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2)Spark NotebooksDatabricksREST APIsFamiliarity with medallion architecture design patternsExperience with Azure DevOps or similar toolsProgramming experience in Python and PowerShellStrong attention to detail and data accuracyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience provisioning data solutions in AzureExperience with monitoring tools such as Redgate or Azure Log AnalyticsFamiliarity with Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP modules and data structuresExperience with R programmingMicrosoft DP-700 CertificationEEO Policy: Allied Resources complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmative action laws and regulations.
