About Laconic Tech:Laconic Tech builds custom AI‑powered internal tools and agents for US manufacturers ($5M–$100M revenue). We take plants running on ERPs + spreadsheets + tribal knowledge and build the software “glue” that removes bottlenecks, unlocks profit, and frees up their best people. We’re small, profitable, and obsessed with building an engineering SEAL Team: elite, crazy hard working, and trusted to own gnarly real‑world problems end to end.The Role:We’re hiring one more Senior full stack Engineer to design, build, and ship production systems that sit at the heart of our customers’ operations. This is not a research or “prototype” role. Your work will be in daily use by real factories, offices, and finance teams. What you’ll do:Own projects end to end: discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration.Design and build AI‑enabled internal tools and agents that integrate with ERPs, CRMs, accounting tools, and homegrown databases.Handle the unsexy parts: data plumbing, edge cases, auth, monitoring, and making sure things keep running when real people hammer them.Collaborate directly with the founder on scoping, technical decisions, and tradeoffs.Raise the bar: improve our internal standards, patterns, and tooling so each project is faster and cleaner than the last. What success looks like in 12 months:You’ve led a dozen substantial builds from idea to production with happy customers.Your systems are measurably driving profit / time savings for factories and back‑office teams.Other engineers are copying your patterns because they’re reliable and simple.Customers ask for you by name when they want “the hard thing” done. You’re likely a fit if you:Are fluent in at least one modern backend stack and comfortable across the full web stack (APIs, DBs, basic front‑end).Have built internal tools / automations / AI‑enabled workflows before (agents, LLM apps, data pipelines, etc.).Can talk to non‑technical people, map a messy workflow, and design a pragmatic system that actually gets used.Like owning problems, not tickets. You prefer talking directly to the “customer” over hiding behind Jira. Are comfortable in small, fast, low‑politics environments where the bar is high and excuses don’t fly.Nice to have:Experience with manufacturing, logistics, industrial automation, or other operations‑heavy environments.Experience integrating with ERPs, accounting systems, or other legacy platforms.Prior early‑stage startup or consulting experience. What we offer:Fully remote in the US, with high autonomy and flexible schedule.Direct access to the founder and a say in technical and product decisions.Work that actually matters to customers’ bottom lines, not vanity features.A culture that optimizes for A‑players, deep work, and real ownership. How to apply:Send your LinkedIn/GitHub and a short note on 1–2 systems you’ve owned end to end (what was the problem, what you built, and what results it produced). If you’re tired of corporate politics and want to build real systems for real businesses, we’d like to talk.
