1st Shift Press Brake Operator
JOB PURPOSE:
Sets up and operates power brake to bend, notch, punch, form rolls, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Selects, installs, and aligns tooling in accordance with the set up instructions
Use CNC controls to bend flat blank in accordance with the bend instructions
Use CNC controls to correct the bend angles and flange lengths to make conforming product
Read and interpret blue prints
Uses various gauges to confirm the piece is conforming to customer specifications
Confirms and controls quality through a series of part checks
Keep a neat organized work station
Clean and examine machine and tooling to ensure optimal performance
Prepare product to meet all shipping standards
Perform all duties with safety as the number one priority

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of 6 months prior experience
Must have computer experience
Good mathematic skills
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis
