Job Title: Front Office Receptionist/Client Center ReceptionistLocation: Houston, TX 77002Duration: 7-month contract and possibility for extension and conversion to FTEPay Rate: $23/hr.Shift: Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work varied shifts between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., with occasional early or late coverage.Anticipated start date: ASAPJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Client Center Meeting Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hospitality, front desk operations, and event support, and a proven ability to deliver elevated guest experiences and coordinate meetings and small events.Responsibilities:Stand, greet, and welcome all clients throughout the day. Escort clients to meeting rooms and offer coat room and bag check services.Assist, tend to, and anticipate guest needs to ensure a seamless visit.Partner with catering, security, audio-visual, events, and facilities to support smooth operations.Manage front-desk functions, including phone calls, email responses, meeting room requests, and event schedules.Join pre-conference calls, assist with data entry, and support event execution.Check rooms to confirm catering, AV, and setups match Banquet Event Orders.Use EMS to detail reservations, review requests, and manage logistics.Advise room capabilities and catering offerings.Plan and coordinate small events with attention to logistics and timelines.Support Event Planners on larger events to align with client expectations.Work early mornings or late evenings as needed for event coverage.Required Skills & Qualifications:Three plus years of hospitality experience; background in 5-star hotels, event planning, or food and beverage.Warm, welcoming, and hospitable demeanor with customer focus.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to manage guest expectations with tact and diplomacy.Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize.Experience with technology; working knowledge of AV systems and Microsoft Office.Familiarity with EMS or similar booking systems preferredDegree preferred.Preferred Skills:Event planning experience.Prior experience in corporate reception or conference center settings.
