Maintenance Director
Bedrock Healthcare is currently looking for a Regional Level Maintenance Director, who is highly skilled in maintenance and upkeep of facilities. Bedrock manages seven facilities in the state of WI, however this role will cover the 2 Milwaukee area homes. What we offer is outstanding salary, full benefits package for all fultime staff and a family centered work environment.Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollects and reviews maintenance requisitions from all units and departments of facility. Reviews information, establishes priorities, assigns staff or inspects, replaces, repairs or otherwise resolves problems.Implements the approved preventative maintenance program throughout physical plant and for all equipment per the schedule.Maintains all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication room refrigerators, kitchen refrigerator/freezer, laundry equipment) in safe operating condition.Inspects, tests and maintains resident call system to ensure a functioning communication system from rooms, toilets and bathing facilities.Cooperates with other departments to identify and accommodate individual resident needs and preferences. Communicates directly with residents. Completes required documentation and record keeping of maintenance activities.Collaborates with consultants with timely responses to request for information and suggestions to improve quality of maintenance services.Maintains adequate supplies and tools for efficient and effective functioning of maintenance department and Facility operations.Coordinates facility fire and disaster drills. In the event of an emergency, carries out assigned duties to assure resident safety.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced learning for this position is customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction.At least 2 years experience with maintenance for a skilled nursing facility or assisted living centers is desiredKnowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and state required life safety guidelines.
