Nursing and Allied Health Associate

The Nursing and Allied Health Associate provides administrative and operational support for the Nursing and Allied Health Department, with primary responsibilities in coordinating program admissions applications and assisting with regulatory compliance processes, including documentation related to the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NCSARA). This position supports the management and tracking of selective admissions applications for nursing and allied health programs, ensuring accurate documentation, communication with applicants, and timely coordination with Admissions, Student Services, Financial Aid, and program faculty. The Associate also assists the Associate Deans and Dean with maintaining compliance records, collecting and organizing data, and preparing reports related to program outcomes, licensure disclosures, and regulatory requirements. In addition, the role performs clerical and administrative functions that support the effective operation of Nursing and Allied Health programs while helping ensure adherence to institutional policies and external compliance standards.Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System salary schedule C3-3. Five years of related experience required.For more information about salary schedules, refer tohttps://www.coastalalabama.edu/human-resources/.For any questions or additional information, please contact the Human Resources Department athr@coastalalabama.edu.At a minimum, the essential functions of this position shall include:Coordinate and manage admissions application processes for Nursing and Allied Health programs, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication with applicants, and adherence to selective admissions requirements.Assist with maintaining documentation and processes related to regulatory compliance, including requirements associated with NCSARA and other applicable state authorization or licensure regulations.Serve as a liaison between Nursing and Allied Health programs and academic advising to help ensure students receive accurate guidance regarding program requirements, progression, and career pathways.Assist with monitoring and tracking student retention and graduation rates within Nursing and Allied Health programs and identify students who may require additional academic or institutional support.Assist with monitoring and evaluating students' educational progress by conducting academic progress audits as directed.Maintain accurate and organized records related to admissions, student progress, compliance documentation, and departmental reporting.Collect and follow up on employment data for program graduates to assist in evaluating job placement outcomes and alignment with workforce and industry needs.Collaborate with college partners, including Admissions, Student Services, Financial Aid, and Early College, to ensure Nursing and Allied Health students receive appropriate support services and resources.Assist the Associate Dean-Nursing, Associate Dean-Allied Health, and the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health with preparing reports, compiling data summaries, and maintaining documentation related to program outcomes and compliance requirements.Participate in and assist with campus-wide events such as orientation, recruitment activities, student engagement initiatives, and other events as needed.Utilize available software programs and institutional systems to support communication, data tracking, reporting, and coordination between students, faculty, and administrative offices.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.All positions at Coastal Alabama have the job responsibilities below:Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.Maintains a highly professional attitude and demeanor at all times.Provides responsible, appropriate, and satisfactory leadership on campus and within the College.Communicates positively and professionally in all aspects of the position.Attends all staff meetings, College meetings, and professional development activities.Becomes thoroughly familiar with all pertinent state and national policies and comply with said policies.Serves on and provide information to college committees as needed.Complies with ACCS and College policies, as well as state and federal laws.Ensures the positive promotion of the College and integration of all campuses within the College.Is prompt and punctual in reporting for work, meetings, and office hours.Performs other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution OR equivalent recent relevant full-time work experience (two years of full-time recent relevant work experience for every one year of college).Five years of related experience in an administrative, academic support, admissions, advising support, healthcare program support, or related role.Experience in the use of current educational technologies in the workplace, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).Demonstrated experience with data management, record keeping, and maintaining accurate documentation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and college staff.Excellent time management skills.Ability to organize, manage confidential information, and oversee special projects through to completion.Commitment to all students and faculty, including those of diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds.Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree from a regionally accredited institution.Experience with Banner, Canvas, and Degree Works.An understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.An understanding of the broad range of students' abilities in an open admissions college.APPLICATION PROCEDURES:A complete application packet consists of the following:* A completed online application form.* Current resume' showing education degrees earned and complete employment history.* Copies of transcripts from all colleges attended where required degrees were conferred.
