EOE/M/F/D/VPosition SummaryThe CNA will provide basic nursing care by assisting residents with personal, nutritional and restorative care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.Position QualificationsHigh school graduate or GED preferredCalifornia Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate requiredKnowledge and experience in bedside nursingWell groomed with appropriate manner and conductAbility to communicate effectively on verbal and written levelsPosition ResponsibilitiesConsistently honor and encourage the resident's freedom of choiceKnock on the resident's door prior to entering the roomExplain any and all care and procedures to be given to the residentRespect the resident's privacy by providing privacy during careProvide resident's visitors privacy during visitsHonor the right of the resident to refuse any treatment (but must still notify charge nurse when resident refuses)Assure confidentiality of all resident related informationReport all concerns and complaints of the resident to the proper authorities in a timely mannerHonor resident's personal property rights by keeping a current inventory list, storing all personal items as necessary assuring all personal property is not used by staff or other residentsAssist the residents and family through dying and death experience by assuring care and dignityAdditional Duties Assigned by Leadership
