School Physical Therapist | Apex, North Carolina
A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, serving multiple schools within central and north-central Durham. This contract position offers a caseload of approximately 30-40 students spanning varying age groups across elementary, middle, and high schools.Key Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services within an educational environment, supporting students' physical development and participation.Manage a caseload of students ranging from elementary to high school age, adapting services to meet individual and district needs.Coordinate visits across 5 to 9 schools, with some requiring only 1-2 visits monthly.Collaborate with school staff to integrate therapy goals within educational plans and schedules.Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district guidelines.Qualifications and Experience:Active Physical Therapy license required.Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in school settings is mandatory.Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between multiple school locations in Durham.Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and healthcare teams.Flexibility for visits during various school bell schedules: Elementary (7:45 AM - 2:15 PM), Middle (8:30 AM - 3:15 PM), and High School (9:15 AM - 4:15 PM).Location:Primarily based in Apex, NC, servicing schools in the Research Triangle and Durham areas.Work Schedule:Full-time at 37.5 hours per week, typically 7.5 hours a day.Contract duration: ASAP through June 3, 2026.This role requires on-site presence and offers a dynamic environment working with diverse student populations. Candidates may undergo a prescreen interview process; flexible scheduling for interviews between 9-11 AM and 2-3 PM EST can be arranged.
