Facilities & Maintenance Manager Residential & Commercial Properties

Job Overview We are seeking a personal drive and highly skilled Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the operational integrity of both residential and commercial properties. This role is vital in ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and functionality. You will lead maintenance teams, coordinate repair projects, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to optimize property performance. Your expertise will help create safe, comfortable, and well-managed environments for residents, tenants, and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your management skills and technical knowledge in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.ResponsibilitiesInspections on commercial properties and multi family residential properties interior and exterior of propertiesPreform maintenance as need for multi family units (hvac, appliances, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance)Pool start up and checks (seasonal)Sprinkler system checks (seasonal)Work with contractors on projects both residential and commercialSome travel within Michigan to commercial properties located in Brighton, Oak Park with the main offices in Walled LakeSome on call for the commerical sites and as back up to maintenance teamSupport maintenance staff and offer assistanceWould need to meet with tenants to troubleshoot and resolve issuesWould be responsible to meet with contractors for both residential and commercial properties to troubleshoot and come up with solutionsSkillsProven management experience leading maintenance or facilities teams in residential or commercial settingsAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systemsWould like some construction and basics maintenance knowledge to help lead and train Maintenance techsProject management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelySupervising experience with a focus on safety protocols and team leadershipFluency in English with clear communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and contractorsJoin us as a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to make a tangible difference by maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing properties.
