Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in the Baltimore, MD area, serving two vibrant elementary schools. This contract position offers a dynamic schedule split between Magnolia Elementary (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Mondays and Wednesdays), supporting students from PreK through 5th grade. The role is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, running from mid-February through late May 2026, with the potential to extend through the Extended School Year (ESY) in July.Key Responsibilities:Provide speech and language support to elementary-aged students, working closely with the speech pathology team.Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with school and district requirements.Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.Adhere to all credentialing mandates including district background checks and employment history reviews as outlined by House Bill 486.Qualifications and Experience:Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.Ability to manage caseloads within multiple school environments.Strong communication and organizational skills.Completion of district-specific credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.This position will operate onsite at both schools located in the Baltimore area.
