Our innovation in the entertainment industry has shaped the future for sustainable growth. This role as Accounts Payable Specialist will contribute to the Finance team. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist will oversee and operate the day-to-day accounts payable and spend management processes, which primarily consists of management of invoice approval flow, ensuring correct coding and timely payment of invoices, applicable journal entries to the general ledger, and expense and credit card reconciliation. Duties & Responsibilities: Processes accounts and incoming invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Researches information to provide accurate and timely solutions to internal clients and vendors. Performs financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data. Reconciles the accounts payable ledger to ensure that invoices are accounted for and are properly posted. Verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirms the correct general ledger account codes are used. Responds to external vendors and managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process. Ensures proper coding of invoices, approval process, timely payment processing, and vendor reconciliations. Supports and works with the Controller to identify and execute process improvement initiatives. Conducts month-end closing activities and provides supporting documentation for audits. Assists with setup of forms of payment options for vendors (ACH, EFT, p-Card, etc). Cross-trains with other accounting associates, and documents work procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma/GED required. Proficiency in computer operations and professional communication. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Team player who works independently and as part of a team. Must have solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be self-motivated and eager to learn and bring value to the business. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage management skills. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Frequently required to sit. Occasionally required to stand. Occasionally required to walk. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
